Coat drive

Opus for P2P Coat Drive

OPUS for Person-to-Person Fall & Winter Coat DriveOPUS for Person-to-Person is pleased to announce our annual coat drive benefiting Person-to Person’s ‘Keep Norwalk Warm’ program. Beginning Friday, October 2nd through Sunday, October 25th, we will be collecting new and gently used coats in all sizes for adults and children.

Collection boxes are on display at local businesses around town including: Ring’s End, Palmer’s Market, Make-Modern, HAVYN, The Bar Method Darien, Dance on the DL, Lanphier Day Spa, Sipstirs, Nielsen’s Florist and Garden Shop, and Darien Butcher Shop. Donations are also being accepted at Person-to-Person headquarters at 1864 Post Rd. in Darien (behind St. Luke’s Church) during business hours from 9am-4pm Monday-Friday and 8am-12pm every other Saturday. The Person-to-Person HQ will also host a drive-through donation day on Saturday, October 10th from 9am-12pm, where volunteers stationed under an outdoor tent will provide a quick and contactless way to drop off coats.

Last year, Person-to-Person provided over 900 coats to Norwalk city residents within a matter of hours. There is a great need for these new and gently used coats in typical times, and we are anticipating an even larger turnout this year due to the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. For a complete list of drop-off locations/addresses and an Amazon wish list link for preferred coats and sizes, please visit

Technology Tip

If you are having issues connecting to Zoom classes, please follow these steps:

1. Restart the chromebook – logging your child into the chromebook again will log your child into Zoom. If your child was successful in attending a morning meeting, you still may have to restart the chromebook to log back in to Zoom for an afternoon meeting.

2. If you are still unsuccessful connecting to a Zoom class after restarting, please contact your teacher to confirm that the link for the meeting is correct.
